Aim

The aim of the MSc programmme is the promotion of knowledge and research in the scientific fields of geriatrics, gerontology, as well as the social and psychological problems. In addition, the postgraduate students will receive specialized knowledge about chronic diseases, pain, rehabilitation, nutrition, surgical complications, welfare and support, fragility and care in elederly, and will be fully preparing them for a successful professional career.

Graduates are awarded with a Postgraduate Diploma (MSc) with the title "APPLIED GERONTOLOGY AND GERIATRIC"

Formal learning forms are recognized by a decision of the Special Interdisciplinary Committee (SIC).

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

To obtain the Master's Degree (MSc), 90 ECTS credits are required, along with the successful attendance and examination of all courses, as well as the completion of a thesis.

The curriculum of the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program (IPSP) "Applied Gerontology and Geriatrics" aims to provide specialized knowledge and skills for understanding and managing the challenges related to aging. Students are trained in areas such as the pathophysiology of aging, the management of chronic diseases, geriatric psychiatry, and modern rehabilitation methods, with the goal of developing high-level critical and research skills.
